RCC Library Information

About

Number of Computers

  • 24 in the main Library
  • 18 in the main Lab
  • 10 in the smaller Lab, often referred to as the Training Lab

Saving your work

  • Once you log off a computer, your work will not be saved.
  • We suggest using a USB, OneDrive, Google Docs or email to save your work.

Printing

  • Black & white computer printouts cost $.05 each and color printouts cost $.20 each.
  • Curriculum students are credited $5 each semester for printing in the library. Credits don’t roll over. Login using MyRCC username and password. NOTE: The library does not receive any portion of student technology fees to purchase printing supplies.

Drinks and Food

  • Drinks with secure lids and small snack foods are allowed in the main Library.
  • Please do not eat or drink while at a computer. There is a space to leave beverages behind the service desk.
  • Drinks and food are not allowed in the Lab.

Phones

  • Please make and take all phone calls in the LRC lobby.
  • Please silence your phones while in the Library or Lab.
  • Texting is encouraged!

Groups

  • The Training Lab can be reserved for groups by emailing library@randolph.edu (opens in a new window).

 

The College's Electronic Access Acceptable Use Policy (opens in a new window) governs the use of all computers in the Library and the Lab.

  • Microsoft Office 2019 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
  • Web browsers Mozilla Firefox (recommended), Internet Explorer, Google Chrome
  • Flatbed scanner
  • Color and black & white printers
