Research 101

This course contains self-paced lessons that progress through the stages of the library research process.

Instructions for New Literacies Alliance Tutorials

Some lessons in Research 101 include information literacy tutorials created by the New Literacies Alliance. 

To access all features within these tutorials, you will need to create an account. It is free and simple.

 

Create Your New Literacies Alliance Account

  1. Go to the New Literacies Alliance website
  2. At the top right of the page, click the "Register" button.
  3. Provide your name and an email address.
  4. Create a simple username and password that you can remember.
  5. Write down your username and password, so that you will have it later.
  6. Click "Create an account for free".

 

After You Create Your Account

Check your email for an "Account Activation" email. If you do not see it in your inbox, check your junk folder.

Important - In the email, click the "Activate Your Account" button. 

After creating your account, you will have access to all of the features in the upcoming tutorials. 

 

Forgot Password?

In the future, if you need to sign in again and have forgotten your password:

  1. Go to the "Sign In" page.
  2. Click "Forgot Password".
  3. Enter the email address you registered with and click "Submit".
  4. Instructions will be sent to you to reset your password.

If your email does not appear in your inbox, please check your junk folder.
