How to Find ESoL Books

RCC Library on the Asheboro campus has a special collection of books for ESoL students. This collection is located in the English as a Second Language area of the library.

  • Here you will find books on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and popular works of fiction to enjoy while you practice your language comprehension skills.
  • There are chairs and tables in this section so you may stay and read if you like, or you can use your RCC Student ID to check out the books to take home with you for three weeks.
  • To search for books at the Library, search the Library Catalog (opens in a new window). You can search for a specific title or author, or just search by a word or phrase.
  • To see a list of all the ESoL books, use the Library Catalog and do a "Power Search." Click the "Search" button, then scroll down and select "Shelf Location" from the "Limit Search Results" column on the left-hand side of the page. Click on the "More" link, and then click on the "English as a Second Language" link. This will open the first in a series of pages displaying all items held in that collection.
